Here are some ideas and reflections about horses and humans.
1 The horse is born to be free. No species has rights over another. The fact that the
horse accepts being ridden is a gift, we must be appreciative and grateful.
2 The horse's mouth is for eating, drinking and communicating. The bit has only one
objective: to cause pain. It gives us a false sense of control, based on an incredible
amount of pain on the horse's mouth. True control comes from educating both the rider and
the horse. Pain is the antithesis.
3 To understand a horse we must learn to listen to him. They are incredibly intelligent,
sensitive and spiritual beings to which we humans owe a big part of our history.
4 Pain steals concentration, time and energy. The more you truly believe in a horse's
intellect, the better are the results that will come from his education.
